Transgender Day of Visibility Bakesale

Transgender Day of Visibility takes place on March 31st and is a day to celebrate the visibility of transgender and nonbinary people in the media. About two weeks before the 31st the members of the GSA and I began to prepare to host a bake sale on that day. All of the funds would go to the Trevor project in light of the Don’t Say Gay Bill and the further transphobia going on in Texas.

In addition to the bake sale, there was a raffle, two are pictured here and the other one declined to be photographed:

Over 900 dollars were raised and all of it went to the Trevor Project. Overall the bakesale was incredibly successful and the GSA hopes to do an event like this in the future. Once I had totaled the money I made a short Instagram post with the final amount:
