Hi my name is Julianna Thornburg, and this is a portfolio of my work during high school that has lead up to getting two different engagement diplomas: an entrepreneurship diploma and a global diploma.

Both of these diplomas are described on different pages and I would highly recommend reading those pages. But for now I will briefly summarize, both diplomas have three different kinds of action items: effects yourself, effects the local community, or effects the global community. This system is a good way for students to see where they are making an impact in the community.

I love the engagement diplomas as they create opportunities to do things you wouldn’t necessarily be taught in a classroom. In working to get both of these diplomas I have learned so many things that I never would have learned normally, information on all sorts of disorders, how to communicate with people and how to research effectively.
