Following the release of binders at target I made a short social media post about target selling binders and how it was significant the post is embedded below.
My analysis of this pride collection is that is incredibly well done.
It includes binders and packers, which means that transgender and nonbinary youth can now easily access binders (before this transgender youth would have had to risk mail interception). This means that youth can obtain transition clothing without coming to their parents, which could put them in a dangerous position.
In addition, Target partnered with two black, queer-owned small businesses for this collection meaning that it directly benefits the queer community as Humankind and TomBoyX get some of the proceeds.
