In October of 2020 I became chapter president of Allendale Columbia best buddies chapter after creating a beautiful slide show and being promoted by Mrs Oliveri (both the teacher of my making an impact globally and the leader of the center for entrepreneurship)
Best is an organization that provides friendships, mentorships and inclusive living programs for people with IDD to connect with people they might not otherwise meet. My school participates in the friendship program, which is a program where schools are paired with each others, and the students visit each others schools in order to facilitate friendship. My school is paired with creekside, another school in Monroe county.
The reason I love best buddies so much is because they are built on friendship and love. And when something is built on that kind of foundation the outcome of the organizations efforts will be good.
In the future I hope to better use the accessibility feature of zoom, in order to communicate with our non-verbal or other level of verbal communication buddies.
